Through my upbringing, I always had a strong connection to nature. As a passionate daily meditator for 8 years and coach for 4, I’ve experienced moments of restlessness in my own daily meditation practice. For that reason, I wanted to share my combined love of mindfulness and nature in an outdoor walking meditation.
When you’ve had a long day of sitting in front of your computer, or you have difficulty sitting still through meditation, it can be highly effective to take your practice on an open-eyed walk outside. With this class, you’ll regain energy and reduce stress by fully immersing yourself in your surroundings and straying away from a seated meditation.
The session starts with a warm video welcome where I encourage you to put on your shoes and go outside. Within the first couple minutes, you’ll focus on your surroundings, including the sensations in your feet. You will quickly forget the day’s stress, and instead immerse yourself into the present moment.
To close the session, you will hear some words of encouragement, as well as tips on how you can introduce a sense of peace and calm into your everyday life.
