"Wake-Up Yoga" Online Course Description

Feeling stiff and slow in the morning? Only the second or third cup of coffee feels energising these days? When your body and mind awaken after resting, it is totally normal to still feel a bit tired. Instead of adding more caffeine to start your day, we would like to invite you to integrate some movement to your morning routine instead.

In a "Wake-Up Yoga" class you softly awaken your body and mind after a brief greeting from your coach. S/he will guide you through a set of movements, paying extra attention to those parts of the body which need to serve most, for example, the spine, neck and wrists. Your coach reminds you to move with your breath, this way your body receives new oxygen to expand gently and your mind is focused instead of thinking about your first tasks at work already. This is a gentle kick start which will help you sustain energy throughout the day. Even with regular "Wake-Up Yoga" practice your body will always feel a bit stiffer in the mornings than during the rest of the day. Adding this flexibility exercise, especially with continuous regularity, can eliminate generalized or specific body pain.
