A newly-understood phenomenon; Impostor Syndrome is the process of someone doubting their intellectual abilities or feeling fraudulent despite experiencing success. Not exclusively work-related, these feelings often impact those who are performing well or even overachieving. Impostor Syndrome Meditation begins to unravel this thinking and put you back on a path of self-love and acceptance. Class begins with a breathing exercise and self-check-in to calm the mind and body before moving on to specific experiences. Your coach will ask you to recall recent examples of times you felt ‘fraudulent’ and ask you to examine the circumstances around that. Your coach will divert your attention next to a body scan or similar exercise to release tension from uncomfortable memories. You’ll be encouraged to imagine yourself working or moving through life without these feelings. What does your day-to-day look like if you aren’t doubting your abilities or overthinking feedback? Together with your coach and other like-minded people you’ll explore actionable solutions to reduce negative feelings.
