"Coping with a Breakup" Online Course Description

The end of a relationship can be a highly stressful and sensitive life event. When something so impactful happens, a safe space is needed to work through and really explore the emotions and individual lessons that come with it. In this class, I will guide you through writing and discussion themes related to the ending of a romantic relationship. Including: the love addiction, feelings of loneliness, friendship after romance, communication, repeating patterns, and feelings of guilt or shame. We’ll begin with a guided activity to help you focus on a sense of safety and integrity within yourself. Once centered, I’ll lead you through a series of writing and reflection exercises. Critical thinking exercises will seek to understand patterns, increase awareness, and identify triggers to eventually break cycles of behavior. Next, I will invite you to explore approaches that build confidence and direction from this point onwards. The session will include ideas for building motivation and confidence to overcome your individual obstacles so that you can move into the future with greater self-awareness and empowerment.
